Woodcut Workshop

This workshop is suitable for both beginners or those with printmaking experience. Participants will learn to use professional tools and apply different printing techniques to create a range of effects. You will be planning, carving and printing stages of printing.

This workshop is for anyone who would like to learn about relief printing by making a Wood-cut print which can be used for cards, illustration, textile design or small print editions.

The workshop will cover the basics of creating a design suitable for wood printing, how to transfer a design onto the carving sheet, how to carve with a wood cutter set, what paints and ink are suitable for stamping etc.

Open to illustrators, textile designers, printmakers and students from a variety of disciplines, this course will give you the confidence to create your own woodcut print, from start to finish.
