    Portrait Painting Workshop

    A 3 day portrait painting workshop aimed at developing the skill and technique for painting a portrait from a live model using oil paints. Fees – Rs. 7,000/- (Few seats left) Day 1 – Amit will be demonstrating the portrait painting from scratch starting from development of the grisaille (underpainting) and going on to application of colour. We will be looking at the structure of the head by breaking it down into broad planes and see how the plane changes bring about a change in colour. The demo would cover details about colour mixing and how it must be seen in relation to one another. Day 2 and 3 – Students practice various exercises starting from short quick poses to doing the entire portrait. Students will get individual critiques at their easel. Materials are not included.
