Silkscreen Printing also known as screen printing or serigraphy has a long history originating as far back as 1000 years ago. Made popular in the 20th century by pop artist Andy Warhol, silkscreen is a fine stenciling method whereby a mesh is used to transfer ink onto a substrate, except in areas made impermeable to the ink by a blocking stencil.
During this workshop Artist Sayantani Dutta will introduce you to the techniques of printmaking on silkscreen and help you developed a beautiful summer scarf.
Participants have to register in advance for the workshop and pay the fees in full. In case of any cancellations we will not be able to refund the money.
